WHS 16-19 Hub
Welcome to the 16-19 Hub!
The 16-19 Hub has been set up to encourage students to become more independent and provide a stepping stone between school and college/employment. It provides a more adult environment where students can feel more independent.
We cater for up to 30 students providing the Open Award curriculum, Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT work experience, mini enterprise, travel training and life skills. Once a week students shop for and cook their own lunch and learn how to look after themselves. Students have the opportunity to undertake work experience, supported or unsupported, and work in the community.
We are a very happy unit working closely under the umbrella of the main school.
