About us

Unity MAT is a small ambitious Trust made up of 3 special schools based in Warwickshire.

In September 2023, the Trust centralised its support services function to form the Core Team. The IT Manager forms part of the Core Management Team, working to the Director of Finance & Operations and Chief Executive.

   The IT Team is responsible for developing IT innovation and improvements across the Trust as well as providing IT support on a day to day     basis.

 

What we need

We are looking for an experienced IT professional, with management experience, to continuously improve our IT capability which supports staff and students across the Trust. This incudes both in-class and administrative support.

We are in the process of moving to Arbor and therefore experience of migration and using Arbor (or other MIS systems) would be a distinct advantage.

The main duties of the role include:

  • managing the provision of high quality, effective IT support services across the Trust and its schools,
  • leading the development and implementation of the Trust’s IT strategy in conjunction with Executive Leaders,
  • managing the data network, IT infrastructure and telecommunications systems, GDPR and cyber security requirements and data eco-system.
  • managing the IT Team, including IT Technicians and Data Officer.
  • managing the Trust’s IT budget and ensuring the best use of resources and value for money in respect of IT equipment and service contracts.
