Careers Advice

Melanie Adams is an independent school Careers Adviser who offers advice and guidance services to students and their parents/carers.

Melanie is a fully qualified careers adviser with 20 years experience. She works 1 day a week on a flexible basis to suit the needs of the students, parents/carers and the school.

Mel's main role is to provide careers advice and guidance to young people. This includes making sure they are aware of all the options available to them when they leave school, for example college, work, training and volunteering etc and supporting them to develop skills to make informed decisions about the future. This may be through individual careers interviews, career lessons, college and training provider visits, parents evenings, transition events and other related activities.

Working across both the main site and the 16-19 hub, Mel welcomes parents and carers to get in touch and arrange a meeting to discuss options at a mutually convenient time. Parents/carers can get in touch with Melanie via the main school office and/or via their child's class teacher or by contacting her directly on 07841 422206 or email melanie.mills2@aol.co.uk.
