Summer Term : 1
This was a very short half term but it didn't stop Blue Group working hard on their Open Award Unit 'Using Transport' !! We learnt about using the local bus service and took trips into Stratford, Tiddington, Wellesbourne, and Warwick. On the last session we took a long ride into Leamington to explore Jephson Gardens. Students became expert at using their travel passes and knowing where to get off at the right stop.
Spring Term 2 : 2019
This half term has seen Blue Group working really hard in the poly tunnel and on making a new vegetable plot. They have been busy recycling items to use - a bath to collect rain water, pallets for the raised beds, compost bins from the tip shop and tyres to be used as planters. They have also started growing spuds for the National Competition 'Grow Your Own' project.
Spring Term 1 : 2019

Students are learning how to use equipment safely, choose healthy options, and work together to make lunch. Tables are laid with cloths and we all eat lunch together. After its all hands on deck to clear away !!

This term Blue Group has been learning all about Winter !! We have made different types of snow, created a sensory area, been to the library to get books, sorted out winter clothes, and were crafty making polar bears. One lesson we did experiments to find out which animal is best insulated by wrapping our hands in fur, wool and fat to see which was the warmest. Last week we visited the Snow Dome in Tamworth for a hands on experience of the cold and snow !!! To celebrate our project we made a display board to reflect everything we had learnt.
Autumn Term 2017/18
This term students in Blue group have visited Pizza Express for a 'Make your own pizza class'.
Each of the students prepared the dough, mixed the marinara sauce, and decorated their own pizza! This fantastic opportunity is linked to several units in this years Open Awards, such as everyday food preparation and exploring the community.
Big thanks to Pizza Express Leamington!
