Meet our School Nurses

The school has 2 registered nurses present throughout the week. They are responsible for meeting the medical needs of the children in school with the support of Warwickshire Primary Care Trust, to facilitate their inclusion into school. They also provide first aid as needed.

The nurses can offer advice and guidance on any health related enquiries and can refer children to professionals if the need arises. They are able to administer any medications your child needs throughout the school day after a care plan has been drawn up by a parent/guardian. The careplan can be downloaded from this page - see below.

The nurses are also competent in nasogastric and gastrostomy feeding and are able to carry this out in school as needed.

Any medication brought into school must be signed over to a member of staff by a parent/guardian or transport escort. Please DO NOT send it in your child's bag.

For further advice or information, please pop into school or telephone the nurses on 01789 266845.
