Residential Visits

Residential visits - Calvert Trust

The Calvert Trust organise outdoor activity holidays for people with disabilities and their friends and families. Their aim is to enable people with disabilities to achieve their potential through the challenge of outdoor adventure in the countryside.

Once a year in February, our Key Stage 3 pupils go on a week long trip to the Calvert Trust in Keswick, in the Northern part of the Lake District.

The aim is to help improve their social skills and to encourage team work and team building.

They take part in a number of outdoor activities such as:

  • Rock climbing
  • Abseiling
  • Canoeing
  • Walking
  • Archery
  • Horse Riding

There is also a heated indoor swimming pool and an indoor sports hall with climbing wall and trapeze swing.
