We enjoyed Children in Need day and wore spotty clothes, bought cakes and did lots of fun Pudsey activities. In Maths we have been adding different coins so we had a go at working out how much Pudsey had raised in his collection bucket!
Lime class have been learning about Diwali in R.E. and the story and traditions behind it. We have linked it to Geography and are comparing how it is celebrated in Leicester in the UK and Mumbai in India.
We have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We made time lines and ordered events from the time of the fire. We have also been comparing 1666 to now and how buildings, transport and the fire service have changed. We made bread as well as the fire started in a bakery.
We recently had some excellent Road Safety sessions delivered to the primary classes in school. Road Safety GB published an article on the use of Makaton signing in road safety sessions for all primary students; referencing our school as a specific example.

I have enjoyed teaching Lime Class immensely. We have been learning about money and measuring in maths. The children really enjoyed a trip to Tesco to buy some fruit with a budget of 50p. They all stuck within budget and some even worked out the correct change. I have loved going to Forest School with the children on a Tuesday afternoon. We particularly enjoyed toasting marshmallows and whittling our own sticks. I will really miss Lime Class, it has been great fun and you have worked really hard.
We enjoyed practising and performing Cinderella as a pantomime!
