Friends Of Welcombe Hills

Friends of Welcombe Hills School is the parents and carers group for our school. They raise money each year to be spent on things to benefit our children and our school.

The charity has been established for over ten years and has actively worked to raise and provide funding to purchase the many extras required to support the staff and children at our school.

We work very closely with the senior management and staff at the school who prioritise requirements and we organise fund raising events to raise the money to meet these requirements.

Over the past 2 years we have raised over £25,000 by large events such as our Golf Day at Ingon Manor or participating in the Stratford Half Marathon down to smaller events such as Quiz nights and Skittles evenings.

We have an extremely active committee comprising of parents of children who attend Welcombe Hills School and they all help to provide many of the interesting and challenging fund-raising events throughout the year.

Please see the News section for any events coming up.

In February, some of our sixth form students went on a residential trip to Centre Parcs. FOWHS very generously paid for the hire of the bikes for the students to use during their stay. Below are some examples of the 'Thank you' letters that the students wrote:
